Pearl Koroga Premier League, 2015 Round 2

It was a Sunday afternoon filled with food, fun and festivity on the 22nd of February 2015 at the Spice Roots restaurant, Parklands. Battling it out for the top four slots in the 2nd elimination round, were 7 teams, each led by an East FM presenter as follows:

• Shamim’s Koroga Bandhus,
• Parveen’s Desi Aroma
• Shikshah’s Luv Shuv de Chicken Koroga
• Kunjan’s Mama Mbogaz
• Jamil’s Badmash Bawarcheez
• Raabia’s Rangers vs Rotis and
• Sadia’s Jalapeno Hotties

Kicking off at around 2:00 pm and with approximately two hours for a culinary presentation that would entice the judges, it was a gastronomic race for the contesting teams – with taste, plating and presentation style among the key factors to consider. All the while, was a great bustle of music, dance and games to keep the rest of the PKPL attendees lively and engaged.

4:00 pm saw the announcement of the 4 best presentations and whose teams went on to proceed to the semis. Congratulations to the winning teams:

• Shiksha’s Luc Shuv De Chicken Koroga,
• Shamim’s Koroga Bandhus,
• Kunjan’s Mama Mbogaz and
• Jamil’s Badmash Bawarcheez
