FOOD SAFETY POLICY

Capwell Industries Limited is committed to producing a range of Safe products (Maize meal, Wheat flour, Rice, Pulses, Porridge flours & Beverage) that meet statutory, legal and mutually agreed customer requirements for Human consumption.

This commitment will be achieved by:-

  • Implementing and maintaining ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management System (FSMS) within our manufacturing processes.
  • Ensuring the applicable statutory and regulatory requirements related to food safety applicable to our products is met.
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene in plant, machinery, and personnel.
  • Providing appropriate resources and overall support to the staff to ensure that the requirements for this FSMS are fully met.
  • Reviewing FSMS performance regularly through internal and external FSMS audits, management review, verification activity results analysis, control measures validation, and by implementing corrective action on non-conformances reported.
  • Setting Food Safety Objectives yearly and reviewing them during management reviews.
  • Understanding customer needs and requirements and incorporating their needs in the production processes.
  • Utilizing acceptable design and processing technology that assures the safety of the food we produce through liaising with relevant authorities and technical experts.
  • Creating awareness amidst all employees in Food Safety and enabling them to fully utilize their potential through innovativeness and provision of training to improve team competence.
  • Safeguarding safety and health of employees and visitors within our facilities.

The management of Capwell Industries Limited shall ensure that this policy is understood,
communicated, available to interested parties and implemented throughout the organization.
